AFGHANISTAN PULVERIZE HONG KONG CHINA WITH A THUMPING WIN IN ASIA CUP OPENER!
The opening match of Asia Cup 2025 between the mighty Afghanistan and qualifiers Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi was an one sided affair with Hong Kong China losing by 94 runs.Afghanistan batted first and scored 188 thanks to opener Atiqs 73 and veteran Nabis 33 and a belligerent fastest T2050 for Afghanistan by Omarzai which turned the course of the match after 16 overs until when Hongkong China had the game under their control. In their reply Hongkong cHINA could manage only 94 thanks to a strokeful 39 by Hayat which included 3 big sixers.Afghanistan’s bowlers Farooqui and Omarzai with an all round performance and Naib restricted the minnows.The fielding and Catching was abysmal for both the sides. The Man of the Match was Omarzai for his all round performance. The next match is between UAE and India in Dubai on Wednesday.
